Harness System Design for An Advanced Electric Scooter

The electric harness is a key element in automotive products. It’s there to bring together all components and make sure every component is powered and is able to communicate with other components in the system. For this electric scooter, we aimed at enhancing safety and supporting high-performance demands of the product. We came up with a design that ensures compliance with safety standards along with the functional demands, providing a reliable and robust solution that the client kept modular for their modern electric scooters. By focusing on safety, modularity and performance, we delivered a harness that mets the challenging requirements of today's electric scooter market.

The design of the harness started from initial brainstorming led by our in-house electrical engineering team. These concepts were sketches that defined the basic layout of the elements necessary for the scooter’s specific needs.

Through CAD software, these sketches were transformed into detailed models, adapting the design to service-ability and maintenance of the harness as well. These designs were followed by prototypes that were tested on the vehicle to ensure integration and functionality.

Once the functional and operational tests were out of the way, a final design was selected that fulfilled all criteria put forth at the start of the project. The final design utilized modern technology in the harness for enhanced durability and efficiency, tested extensively to meet safety standards.

For the production stage, we provided detailed harness drawings for mass production along with clear assembly instructions to ensure the highest efficiency. We kept the design as simple as possible to reduce the assembly time and save costs. This approach guaranteed an efficient production process and an easily manufacturable product.
